Oath helps you study for the U.S. naturalization civics test. The app is designed to work on your device. We do not operate accounts, we do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not track you.
Your study progress, settings, and any state or address you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This information is not transmitted to us and we never see it.
Some civics answers depend on where you live — for example, your U.S.
representative. If you choose to use this feature and enter your street address,
the app sends that address to the United States Census Bureau's public geocoding
service (geocoding.geo.census.gov) in order to determine your
congressional district. This request is made directly from your device to the
Census Bureau. We do not receive, store, or process your address on any server
of ours. The Census Bureau's handling of this request is governed by U.S.
government privacy practices. Entering your address is entirely optional; the
rest of the app works without it.
Oath may request current public officeholder information over a secure (HTTPS) connection. These requests do not include any personal information about you.
Oath contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Oath is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS or any government agency.
Oath does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
